Final Shiny Moment of BOLD UnConference 2024

Nancy Irwin, managing director of Kamapim Limited, delivered an inspiring final talk at the BOLD UnConference 2024.

Kamapim Limited focuses on sustainable agriculture in Papua New Guinea. Nancy and her team work with remote tribal landowners to produce high-quality, organically grown vanilla, ensuring fair trade practices. 

They provide training and support to farmers, aiming to improve economic stability and achieve various sustainable development goals, including gender equality, poverty reduction, and environmental protection.

Nancy shared her journey from bat biologist to CEO, spurred by frustration over inaction at the 2015 Paris Conference. 

She approached investors with a unique concept and transitioned to working in Papua New Guinea’s primary rainforest, advocating for sustainable practices and creating markets for high-quality local products.
